Marily Brahen: Update for my listing which only shows "Vampire Girls"
posted by Markus on Monday June 26, @04:47AM ( Printer Friendly Version.| Email this article)
News Marilyn "Mattie" Brahen writes Here is an updated biography below for your entry on me. Thanks. Mattie!
Pleased to oblige - she definitely has more books to her name that only 'Vapire Girls'!

Marilyn “Mattie” Brahen's publications and information:

Her first novel, CLAIMING HER, was published by Wildside Press and was well reviewed by Publisher's Weekly and Science Fiction Chronicle. Concerning her short fiction: "Gotta Dance" and Afertere's Eyes" has appeared in SCHEHERAZADE (in England); MARION ZIMMER BRADLEY'S FANTASY MAGAZINE published "The Gift;" DREAMS OF DECADENCE published her poem "Vampire Girls" and her story "The Greater Thirst;" FANTASTIC published "Tiny Doll Face;" and the anthologies CRAFTY CAT CRIMES and THE ULTIMATE HALLOWEEN published, respectively, "All in the Golden Afternoon" and "Trick or Treat with Jesus," the latter a very spiritual tale!
A new story, "Call of the Drum" will be appearing in the SPACE & T IME anthology being published in 2006, and STRANGE TALES has accepted her long story, "Seastruck," to be published approximately 2007. She is also a reviewer for The New York Review of Science Fiction and will have two essays in the upcoming NEIL GAIMAN READER being published this year by Wildside Press.
Mattie is currently working on a sequel to CLAIMING HER, which will be entitled: REFORMING HELL.
She hopes to complete this sometime in 2007 for her readers and thanks them for their patience.
She resides with her husband, author and editor Darrell Schweitzer, and their erudite cats Lovecraft, Tolkien and Galadriel in Philadelphia, PA.
