This is an original studio script used for the penultimate episode of the fifth and final series for BBC Radio Four. The script was used by Sound Manager Paul Deeley and has his annotations on most pages. The cover sheet has been signed by the series producer, Dirk Maggs, who adapted Douglas Adams' original novel "Mostly Harmless" for radio four years after the author's tragic early death.
This is not a photocopy, or facsimilie, or a commercially-available item, it is the only script for this episode 5.3 that has been endorsed by the producer and released to fandom.
Script for sale has exactly FORTY-TWO PAGES in total. Really. Second page has a complete list of cast and production team, including William Franklyn, Michael Fenton-Stevens, Simon Jones, Susan Sheridan, Sam Burke, Geoffrey McGivern, Andrew Secombe, Rula Lenska, Sandra Dickinson and Dirk Maggs. Secombe, son of Harry, both fans of Douglas Adams' books, is an actor who has also published science fiction. Look for a review of his 'Limbo' elsewhere on DiverseBooks.
Okay, so I'm plugging an eBay item that I am selling myself! But this has been explicitly authorised by the management of DiverseBooks as an item of special interest to site members, and since my wife and I are expecting a baby in two weeks time I promise to blow all the proceeds on reusable unbleached free-range organic dolphin-friendly cotton nappies, or maybe beer.
