Following the recent enforced move from the Florence Nightingale, the
First Thursday 'Ton' fan meeting will this month be trying out the Silver
Cross on Whitehall as the new venue.

The downstairs bar in the Silver Cross has been booked for Thursday 1st
August from 7pm onwards, although it may well be open before then and
early arrivers can always meet in the main bar. The Silver Cross is
located opposite the Whitehall Theatre and is about thirty yards south of
Trafalgar Square. Nearest tube stations are Charing Cross (the closest),
Embankment, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Westminster. Charing
Cross rail station is nearby and Waterloo is about ten minutes' walk away
(over the new Hungerford foot bridge).

As not everyone sees these groups or the other places this has been
posted, some fans may well still be going to the emergency backup venue of
the Jubilee. If anyone is definitely going to the Jubilee first it would
be very helpful if they could let other fans there know about the Silver
Cross. Assuming all goes well at the Silver Cross we'll make sure someone
comes over to the Jubilee later to give a report.

A map of how to get to the Silver Cross is at

See you on Thursday!
