| From the logbook of an andromedan Spaceship, reporting on a scouting mission on Tuesday, June 20 2006 (Earth time):
Star time 345.66.75. I have reached the small blue planet in system 128B54 which has been confirmed as bearing life during an earlier mission, and have run a new set of scans. The results obtained are confusing - it appears that the inhabitants of the planet have not developed the projected level of intelligence that we expected. This is based on the following observations:
On passing over an area of the planet known as 'Germany' a significantly high level of electro-magnetical radiations were detected. Nearly all seven billion inhabitants of the planet are connected to this source of radiation, and communicate on strange and, for me, incomprehensible activities. Based on this I performed some detailed scans, the results of which didn't make sense either. All the communications between the inhabitants of the Planet centre around a white spherical object with pentagonal black spots and an intense, but incomprehensible effort concerning it. My analysis showed that the outside of the spherical object consists of the elements carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. The interior is filled with gas, which is a pressurized but otherwise equal to the atmosphere of the planet.
The strange activities with the spotted sphere take place inside large, elliptical buildings, with rectangular green areas in the centre. Around these areas, on ascending steps, sit or stand up to 60'000 of the inhabitants. In the centre 11 of them are exerting themselves moving the spherical object from one side to the other, while further 11 are moving it the other way. They do so by providing impetus to the sphere with their lower extremities, causing it to fly or roll from one individual to the next. If the sphere reaches the end of one of the narrow sides of the rectangle all inhabitants present synchronously emit a strange noise. This event is transmitted instantly to the other seven billion inhabitants of the Planet, which thus emit the same strange noise.
My calculations show that enormous amounts of emotional energies are being set free, although these are on an extremely low level, and are bundled in a very one-sided way. Compared with our earlier scans the inhabitants of this planet have achieved bipedal locomotion in the meantime. They still engage in wars, and my current observations indicate that the development of real intelligence still hasn't occurred.
I recommend to focus on other areas, and only re-visit this planet for star time 348.66.80.
